Mardela Special Care is specially designed to serve eight children from the ages of 10 to 18 who have severe learning and emotional disabilities.  We strive to teach replacement skills in order to help the child make positive choices as opposed to negative choices.  We strive to give the child positive life experiences.  We firmly believe all children are worth the extra effort and commitment.  Our home-like residence contains 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, a kitchen, and activity room. Our structure permits a high degree of flexibility, critical to the growth of our children.  In addition, the children have access to a full gymnasium on-site.  Here, staff will continually assess and address the educational, physical, and emotional needs of each child.

The Linkwood Girls' Home is located in Linkwood, Maryland, and licensed through the Department of Juvenile Services. and is a home to adolescent girls ages 11-18.  Our staff maintains a safe, therapeutic atmosphere for girls addressing their emotional and mental health issues.

We believe in a team approach to treatment and rely on the family, residential, clinical, and educational experts. Through individual, group, and family therapy, our clients are able to explore their problems and grow in a positive manner.  Our girls stay an average of 10 months with the goal of returning to a less-restrictive, home-like setting.  In most cases, those still needing care or shelter after 10 months will transfer into our foster care homes.
