Angela Ford is a Salisbury University alumni. Accepted into the advanced standing Masters program and graduated with a Master’s degree in social work in 2005. Angela received her LCSW-C licensure in 2008. In 2010 became certified with the Board of Social Work Examiners to be a supervisor for Licensed Graduate Social Workers (LGSW). She works as a liaison with Salisbury University as a field supervisor for Master level students. Angela has been working at Maple Shade since June 2005. She began as the therapist working with clients who resided at three of Maple Shade’s Therapeutic group homes. Angela had the opportunity to develop and implement a therapeutic milieu in the residence that was based off of Dr. Ross Greene’s work in “The Explosive Child”. She continued her journey with providing school based therapy in the Wicomico County School system. Angela was promoted to Clinical Director of the Wicomico County Mental Health Clinic in 2010. She now sits on the Wicomico County Multidisciplinary Committee. Jessica Holloway-Hill joined the Maple Shade staff in May of 2007. She provided therapeutic services to the children and families in the Somerset County area. She completed her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology at Salisbury University in 2002. In May of 2004 she graduated from Salisbury University with her Master’s degree in Social Work. In October of 2009 she became licensed as a LCSW-C. She served as Supervisor for the Somerset County Maple Shade Clinic from 2008- 2010. At the current time she is the Clinical Director for Somerset County. She has worked in a variety of settings with children, families and groups. Shanda Ward is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Shanda has been an employee of Maple Shade since 1994. She graduated from the University Of Maryland Eastern Shore in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in General Studies, and with a concentration in Special Education. Ashley Phillips joined the Maple Shade staff in July of 2011 as a school-based therapist in Somerset County. She graduated from Salisbury University with her Masters in Social Work in May 2011 and received her LCSW-C in 2013. In 2015 she became an approved social work supervisor with the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to supervise License Graduate Social Workers toward advanced licensure. She specializes in youth populations and is mainly in the elementary school with children in grades K-5. Ashley’s theoretical perspective includes Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Theory, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy. Her other areas of interested include behavior modification, resiliency, and family therapy. Maria Stewart has been with Maple Shade since 2012. She started as an intern for her MSW program at Salisbury University and became a part time therapist once she received her LGSW. Maria works with clients in the evening and provides home based Individual and Family therapy. She works with mostly adults and some children and adolescents. Cindi Verges, LCSW-C, joined our staff in June 2015. She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work from Salisbury University. Cindi has seven years experience working with children as an early childhood provider. She also has two years experience interning with children, families, and vulnerable adults. Her theoretical approach is eclectic, as she uses person-centered, strengths, and systems based perspectives with cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, and play therapies. Currently, Cindi is completing play therapy training and hopes to become a Registered Play Therapist by 2020. Stephanie James, LCSW-C, has been with Maple Shade since 2013. She started as an intern in the Treatment Foster Care (TFC) Program for her BA degree, and continued as an intern in Somerset County for her MSW at Salisbury University. She graduated from Salisbury University’s Advanced Standing Program with her Master’s degree in Social Work in May 2015. During her time at SU, she was a member of Phi Alpha Honor Society, and is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Toni Huffman, LMSW graduated from Salisbury University with her MSW in 2014. Toni is a school based therapist in Wicomico County. Angie Casey, LCPC is our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Director and also a part time therapist. She has worked at Maple Shade since 2011. She was a PRP worker while she pursued her Counseling degree from Walden University and now has her Licence in Counseling. Angie works with adult clients in our Mardela Clinic and Princess Anne Clinic. Angie enjoys working in groups and will work with the PRP staff in providing after school groups for our clients. Amanda (Mandy) Eberly, LCSW-C joined the Maple Shade staff in January of 2017 as a school-based therapist in Wicomico County. Samantha Kurtz, LMSW joined the Maple Shade staff in August of 2017 as a school based therapist in Wicomico County. Samantha graduated from Towson University in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Family Studies and then graduated in 2012 with her Master's of Social Work from University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Social Work. Samantha became a LMSW in 2012 and is currently working on obtaining her LCSW-C. Samantha has previous experience working with the Department of Social Services in the Foster Care and Child Protective Services units. Ashley Arbogast, LCSW-C has joined the Maple Shade team in 2018 and is currently working out of our Crisfield office doing school based therapy. Ashley received her Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Wilmington University in 2013. In 2015, she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Salisbury University. She has practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings and in 2017 became licensed as an LCSW-C. Her passion is working with adolescents and she implements a variety of modalities based on individual needs. She is nationally certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and utilizes this evidenced-based treatment method to address the impacts of trauma on teens and their families. David Albert, LMSW started at Maple shade while he was interning from Salisbury University. He now is a school based therapist out of our Princess Anne Office. David Albert graduated from Salisbury University in 2014 with his bachelor's in Psychology. Kimberly graduated from Frostburg University in 2007 with her Bachelors in Social Work and received her Masters from Salisbury University in 2010. Destinee Geoghegan, LMSW joined the Maple Shade team in February of 2016 as a PRP Caseworker after receiving her BA in Psychology at Salisbury University in 2015. Destinee returned back to Salisbury University to earn her Masters in Social Work, Destinee also completed her internship with us as well during this time. After graduating with her Masters in May of 2019, Destinee was hired as a School-Based Therapist in Princess Anne, Maryland. Casie Wilson has been with Maple Shade since 2019. She began as an intern during her Master’s degree. Casie is a Salisbury native who obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Oregon State University and graduated with her MSW degree from Boston University in 2020. Prior to joining Maple Shade, she worked in mental health for 4 years ranging from child protective services, community health outreach, and mobile crisis. She has experience working with children and adolescents, groups, and families. She has worked with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, adjustment disorders, life changes and transitions, and trauma. Casie utilizes mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, play therapy, CBT, mindfulness CBT, ACT, DBT, and TF-CBT. Casie’s training and clinical experience includes that of a Maryland Licensed Master Social Worker pursuing clinical licensure, Registered Meditation Teacher, Registered Holistic Health Practitioner, Child & Adolescent Trauma Professional, and Critical Incident Stress Management Professional. She is in the certification process for Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist.
