About our Respite Program:
Maple Shade respite program is an out of home placement. The program is licensed by the Mental Hygiene Administration for children and adolescents with mental health diagnoses . Services are provided in our residential respite home. This service provides a necessary planned break for caregivers of emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.
In-Home Respite - Provides relief for caregivers for a few hours so that they can complete some of their normal, daily activities.
Residential Respite - Provides respite for children who are capable of staying overnight is the residential facility which is conveniently located on our Mardela Springs campus and will be staffed 24/7 by awake staff.
Goals of Respite Include :
To communicate and coordinate with Residential Respite Counselors.
To coordinate and communicate with our clients and their families.
To meet the emotional and behavioral needs of the client.
To provide a break to the parents

This referral has to be made by a licecned mental health professional and the child must be in active mental health treatment.
